Steve Jackson Games has let the world know The Stars Are Right is nearly here. This Cthulhu-themed game of strategic card positioning – and manipulating said positions with the requisite minions or Elder Gods – should be arriving in stores early September, though it will get some major exposure at Gen Con next week as well. I had a glimpse of the original German version, Die Sterne Stehen Richtig, when a friend brought it to DunDraCon in February, and played the translated SJ Games version at GTS in April. My initial thoughts: The Stars Are Right is a fun, deceptively deep strategy game most gamers will enjoy and Cthulhu gamers will love. And I’m not very good at it… yet.
