Again with the smart moves: Paizo Publishing has plans to release a print version of Monte Cook’s Book of Experimental Might before the end of this year, according to a post today from the man himself. Previously only in print through Lulu’s POD, the new edition will combine BoEM volumes 1 and 2 into one book for sale at game stores everywhere. That’s right, Paizo’s actively supporting the products that will in turn end up complementing and supporting the Pathfinder RPG – or at least making more fans in the D&D 3.5 community.
Sweet. I’ve been thinking about picking these up ever since Lee recommended them in his 4e PHB review. I’ll be grabbing a copy when Paizos version comes out.
I’m looking forward to checking it out (wish I’d known sooner there was a lulu POD edition). Off hand though, at least locally the 3E scene is getting thinner and thinner, and I am unsure there’s going to be much of a market for the Pathfinder game and related products by this time next year; every diehard 3.5er I know now except for 1 has gone to the Dark Side of 4E (which I also like), so at least in little ol’ New Mexico I’ll be curious to see if additional 3.E support has any legs.
