September 7, 2006 - The Post-Gen Con Hangover
Chris goes to ConQuest SF, and we discuss what small cons can learn from Gen Con (and vice versa). To our listeners: what do you go to cons for? Tell us in the comments. At around the 20-minute mark, we go to our Gen Con best-of-show picks, as well as upcoming games like AT-43 (not psyched), Long Live The King (psyched) and WotC’s mysterious online “Goblin Game” (both psyched and appropriately mystified). At 30 minutes or so, we talk about what got lost in the sauce at the Forge booth, and how they shouldn’t beat themselves up so much over that. At 40 minutes, it’s Currently Playing, and Mike actually played things! Battlestations, Thunder Road(!!), Clout Fantasy, Mike’s sooper-seekrit 24-Hour RPG, 10 Days In Europe, Big Fat Awesome House Party, D&D of course, Dogs in the Vineyard, Dreamblade, Pirates and I think that’s it.
