Robin Laws to write for Iron Man
We’ve just learned that popular game author Robin Laws has been signed on as the writer for issues 65-69 of the Iron Man ongoing comic book. According to this interview with Marvel editor Tom Brevoort, current Iron Man writer Mike Grell is leaving after issue 64, leaving an unfinished storyline called “Manhunt” to resolve. Robin Laws will “pinch hit” for a few issues while Marvel continues looking for a permanent writer to take over.
Will this become a trend with skilled RPG authors? Too early to tell, but an interesting thought to be sure. I’d like to see someone like John Tynes take on the Batman storyline and get really dark with it, but that’s just me. Now if we can just get some HeroClix tie-ins, the circle will be complete.
