To celebrate the holidays, OgreCave and Ronin Arts have a present for you. Well, mostly Ronin Arts. Anyway, until the end of Christmas Day, you can follow this link to download a free PDF copy of the expanded, deluxe version of vs. Monsters (which made our Christmas Gift Guide, by the way). But at the end of Christmas Day, the offer expires, so grab your copy while you can. Happy holidays!

I’m glad I didn’t pay for that lousy game. My 14-year old nephew can do better than that. I don’t know what’s worse — having to read how impressed the author is with himself or navigating the bizarre layout.
Now I know to stay away from Ronin Arts games. Thanks.

Based upon the one game? And a game that was designed in 24-hours? What exactly are your expectations? And the bizarre layout? Hardly.
As to keeping clear of Ronin Arts, it is your loss. They do some fine products. Have a look at the Fourth Millenium Campaign Model for interesting Science Fiction, or for Motocaust for post-apocalyptic road warrior zombie horror. Besides that, thereis a multitude of interesting little d20 titles that offer plenty for very little money.
In the mean time Sir, I await the efforts of your nephew with keen interest.

I am sorry to see you did not enjoy my game but, as we all know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Was I really impressed with myself? I had attempted to use a very light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek tone in vs. Monsters.

I find vs Monsters to be an excellent game, and well worth the price, as I’ve found Ronin Art’s products to be in general.
In fact, I’ve recommended both vs Monsters and Motocaust to friends far and wide.
I highly doubt anyone’s 14 year old nephew can do better.

Indeed. When your nephew’s products start getting nominated for awards and making annual Christmas Gift Guides on a regular basis, let us know. The Cave Dwellers here at OgreCave are thrilled Phil and Ronin Arts came to us to give a gift to both his fans and ours.
We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy the gift, though. Happy holidays, just the same.

aargh!
curse traveling to non net-connected homes! This one looked quite interesting in the guide…

I’ve never understood why OgreCave waits to post its Xmas Gift Guide until just a couple of days before the holiday. Makes it impossible to use as a guide for shopping.

Yeah, we were a bit late in getting the d20 list in particular finalized, but the downloadable list is intentionally posted just a couple days before, since that’s the “panic” list.
Hopefully the lists will still serve to point out some great products from the past year, and at the very least, suggest what those gift certificates could be used for.

Besides, if you are buying downloadables for your friends and loved ones, you are a lazy bastard and therefore probably late with your presents anyway.
That was a joke. LAUGH DAMN YOU
