First, way to be on topic. Granted, that part is kind of our own fault (we’re working on a solution). But second, if “we’re not going to pay people quite as much to play our game” equals “killed off,” then the game never had much life to begin with, did it?
On an even more “hunh?” note…
We somehow managed to stay on the “stores hosting a 1k list.” I have NO idea how…
But I can tell ya, I don’t think anyone is suprised that they are scaling back. The game is really not selling very well. It’s no hecatomb though…
A lot of the problem comes from the initial wave of miniatures – Scarab Warcharm in particular. It was just too good and Wizards didn’t do anything about it – I know a lot of people who just said they weren’t willing to pay the $50/Warcharm price needed to compete (myself included). Its a real shame – its a very good game and my wife and I still play with the minis that I bought (and I’ll probably pick up some off the clearance racks when they hit bottom).
