Earlier today, Paizo Publishing announced a Japan relief auction for those affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami. The company just introduced fans to Hayato, the latest iconic character to join the Pathfinder cast. Using the ronin samurai as a centerpiece, Paizo is working with artist Wayne Reynolds (cover artist for much of the Pathfinder line) to auction the original painting of Hayato, along with staff-signed Special Edition copies of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook and Pathfinder RPG Bestiary. “Special Edition?” you ask. These are the rulebooks you know and love, but with “gilt pages and gold foil cover lettering, and signed by the entire Paizo staff and cover artist Wayne Reynolds” – and several are being auctioned off. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Red Cross Society, so head to Paizo’s eBay auction, bid generously, help the people of Japan, and get a cool gaming trophy as well.
