Gaming News Update – KublaCon 2014 (Thomas Denmark/Studio Denmark)
So, we made our annual pilgrimage and got out to KublaCon 2014 – The Khan of Cons – and had a great time, as always. We came back with plenty to share, so let’s start with a Gaming News Update interview with Thomas Denmark of Studio Denmark. Tom gave us

Super Genius to take over Dungeonaday.com
Hyrum Savage at Super Genius Games has been teasing for a day or two that an announcement was forthcoming, and now we know what he’s been up to: Super Genius Games will take over management of Dungeonaday.com. Paizo Publishing announced today the hiring of Sean K. Reynolds, well known in the D&D community for his work on the 3rd Edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and Monster Manual. The title pretty much says it all – Monte Cook, possibly the most respected name in the d20 System industry, will be lending his advice and developmental assistance to Paizo Publishing’s Pathfinder RPG as a Rules Consultant. Now technically, Cook is going back on his decision to retire from the
Origins Awards happen

Highlights include the accepter of Paizo’s periodical award for Dragon Magazine thanking WotC for
Origins Awards nominees announced for 2007
Though underannounced and hard to find (as usual), the 2007 Origins Awards top nominees are decided. ‘Tis an interesting batch this year, with many expected titles (Ptolus was a no-brainer), and some surprises as well (Shear Panic? This is not a drill: Monte Cook’s World of Darkness announced
Um? This certainly has potential to be interesting – like the celebrity WoD remixes in the Requiem Chronicler’s Guide but on a much grander scale – but as a final project before retirement? To follow Ptolus? Monte Cook’s WtF is more like it. Timeframe is next summer.
Audio Report: feel the hate flowing through you!
We do bring the love by the end of the show, but wow. Some of this is old news, but it’s worth it for Chris’ perspectives and, as always, for the philosophy. We get going on Gen Con, Privateer, Ptolus, D&D, The Shadow of Yesterday, Infinity, and some Spanish RPG
Paizo prepping Ptolus minis
Having displayed the ability to create high quality metal miniatures in its Gamemastery: Compleat Encounters sets, Paizo Publishing now has an agreement with Monte Cook and Malhavoc Press to publish miniatures for the Ptolus uber-campaign setting. A series of monthly minis releases will begin in May, leading up to and
