Christmas Gift Guide 2006

OgreCave's Christmas Gift Guide 2006

As the weather grows cold, gamers turn to thoughts of Christmas: roleplaying over long weekends, relatives joining in a board game or two, even throwing down a few rounds of the latest CCG with old friends. But what if those friends and relatives don't have any recent games that would entice them to stop gaming online for a few hours and actually play something face to face? Worse yet, what if you don't have any?

The answers can be found within OgreCave's Christmas Gift Guide 2006, guiding underinformed friends and family toward the best game gifts, not new socks and sweaters. As we do each year, we've listed some of our favorite releases of the last twelve months for you and your loved ones to glean shopping inspiration from. So read through our Guide, and set forth into the retail world properly prepared to give (or receive!) excellent game products from the waning year.

Our suggested gifts from 2006 can be found in the following lists:

Part 1 - Twelve Stocking Stuffer Games (12 Games of $20 or Less)
Part 2 - Twelve Games Under the Tree (12 Games for Over $20)
Part 3 - Twelve Games Around The d20 (12 Games for the d20 System)
Part 4 - An Aetheric Guide For Christmas (Downloadable Game Products)

If these lists haven't given you the inspiration you need, the games on our previous lists are still plenty good and full of merriment. You'll find many excellent gift suggestions in our lists from 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 or 2001. Ogres pull sleighs to far more interesting locations than wimpy reindeer ever could, so rest assured, OgreCave has not led you astray with these holiday gift selections.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Cave Dwellers of OgreCave!
