During the happy holiday season, Atlas Games will add over 220 original creatures to the D20 System with The Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary. Edited by Michelle A. B. Nephew, the 352-page hardcover book plans to "go beyond the atmospheric description, evocative illustration, and solid stats for which Penumbra is known, providing adventure seeds designed to inspire GMs and players alike, and extras like new gods, new spells, and new magic items." Sound good so far? Well, there's this tidbit as well: through a special arrangement, Lance & Laser Models will release nine custom miniatures of creatures from the Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary. Now there's something every decent creature book should be doing. The Bestiary will retail for $44.95.
